The WGAM Junior Scholarship Fund, Inc. was organized in 1985 for the sole purpose of providing scholarship aid to deserving junior golfers who have participated in the WGAM Junior Golf Tournament Program. It is a federal income-tax-exempt organization as determined by the Internal Revenue Service. The Women's Golf Association of Massachusetts, Inc. and the WGAM Junior Scholarship Fund, Inc. are two separate and distinct organizations.
In order to apply to become a WGAM Junior Scholar, an applicant must fall within one of the following categories: High School Senior, WGAM member, daughter or granddaughter of a WGAM member or any girl with an interest in golf. The selection criteria include:

The WGAM Junior Scholarship Selection Committee will conduct personal interviews with all applicants. The applicant's relative financial position determines only the size of the monetary award, if any, not whether the applicant is selected as a WGAM Junior Scholar.
